MiniPac™ ECUA06ACA

The Industrial Climate Engineering MiniPac™ Environmental Control Unit (ECU) is designed for the telcommunications cabinet or enclosure. The versatile design allows the unit to be either installed inside or with the condenser grilles, on the outside of the enclosure.

MiniPac™ units have as standard the necessary features to maintain the proper environmental control demanded by the telecommunication industry. The MiniPac ECU is designed for use in ambients from 0ºF (-18°C) to 120°F (49°C). The low noise level makes the unit ideal for installation in urban and residential areas. The MiniPac ECU is available in nominal cooling capacities of 5,000 & 6,000 BTUH. To facilitate installation, the unit rests on four mounting bolts.

Tested to UL Standard 1995, 4th Ed. and CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 236-11.

The Industrial Climate Engineering Environmental Control Unit (ECU), model ECU08, manufactured by the ICE Division of AIRXCEL, Inc., is designed for the telecommunications cabinet or enclosure. The versatile design allows the unit to be either installed inside or with the condenser louver, on the outside of the enclosure.

The ECUA08 has as standard the necessary features to maintain the proper environmental control demanded by the telecommunication industry. The unit is designed for use in ambients from 20°F (-7°C) to 120°F (49°C). The low noise level makes the unit ideal for installation in urban and residential areas. ECUA08 has a nominal cooling capacity of 8,000 BTUH (.67 tons). To facilitate installation, the unit rests on a mounting bracket. One bracket is shipped with each unit.

Tested to UL Standard 1995, 4th Ed. and CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 236-11.

ECUA08 posee como estándar las características necesarias para mantener el control ambiental adecuado para la industria de las telecomunicaciones. La unidad está diseñada para su uso en ambientes desde 20°F (-7°C) a 120°F (49°C). El bajo nivel de ruido hace que la unidad sea ideal para su instalación en áreas urbanas y residenciales. ECUA08 posee una capacidad de enfriamiento nominal de 8,000 BTUH (.67 toneladas). Para facilitar la instalación, la unidad se ubica sobre un soporte de montaje. Se incluye un soporte con cada unidad.

The Industrial Climate Engineering SlimPac™ line of Environmental Control Units (ECU) are designed for the telecommunication cabinet.  The slim profile allows the unit to be mounted quickly and simply on the exterior of the building on either side of the splice chamber.  SlimPac units have, as standard, the necessary features to maintain the proper temperature control demanded by the telecommunications industry.  The SlimPac is designed for use in ambients from 0°F (-18°C) to 120°F (48°C).  Their low noise level makes them ideal for installation in urban and residential areas. The SlimPac is available in nominal cooling capacities of 1 and 1-1/2 tons (12,000 and 18,000 BTUH).  The SlimPac units are ETL listed.  Both units are manufactured and tested to UL Standard 1995, 4th Ed. and CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 236-11.

The Industrial Climate Engineering™ Counterflow Air Conditioner offers unique benefits in applications requiring low supply air outlet. Typical installations include computer rooms, electronic equipment shelters, and uninterrupted power supply (UPS) buildings. The ICE air conditioner is an energy and space saving unit designed to offer maximum indoor comfort without using outside ground space or indoor floor space. The unit can be easily mounted on an outside wall with the supply opening at or under floor level. Factory or field installed accessories can be used to meet specific requirements.

All models use non-ozone depleting R-410A refrigerant.

The Counterflow air conditioners are manufactured and tested to UL Standard 1995, 4th Ed. and CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 236-11. The ADP models are commercial units and not intended for residential use.

ECUA90/120/150/180/240 & ECUDA180/240/300 Air Conditioners

Industrial Climate Engineering’s air conditioners are used primarily to cool electronic and mechanical equipment shelters (E-Houses). Due to the high internal heat load, these shelters require cooling even when outside temperatures are 60°F (15°C) and below. The ICE air conditioners have the necessary controls and components for operation during these temperatures. All models use the non-ozone depleting R-410A refrigerant.

The ICE air conditioners are installed on the exterior of the building – no interior space is required. Two openings in the wall allow for the conditioned (supply) air to be discharged into the building and for the indoor air to return to the air conditioner.

A sealed condenser fan motor permits operation in hot, dusty environments. The saw tooth fan blade delivers both excellent efficiency and extremely quiet operation.

The direct drive backward inclined motorized impellor evaporator motor provides high aerodynamic efficiency in a compact design. The optimized blade geometry provides excellent air flow at a minimum of sound. Direct drive eliminates all belts and pulleys. A scroll compressor with R-410A refrigerant ensures years of dependable service even in the harshest of operating conditions. When outside air is required to provide pressurization, optional fresh air dampers can be field installed in openings in both the left and right side panels. When no outside air is desired, these openings are covered with blank-off panels.

The ECUA90/120/150/180/240, & ECUDA180/240/300 air conditioners have rated cooling capacities of 90,000, 125,000, 150,000, 170,000, 230,000, & 300,000 BTUH. The units are designed for operation over a wide range of ambient temperatures from 0°F to 131°F (-18°C to 55°C). Standard features include:

  • A phase monitor to continuously measure the voltage of each of the 3 phases and will shut the unit off if there is unbalanced voltage, high or low voltage, phase loss or phase reversal.When the problem is corrected, the monitor automatically resets.
  • High and low refrigerant pressure switches with a lockout relay protect the compressor and can be used for remote alarm or notification.
  • Hinged front door that opens to the left or right and facilitates access to the control box and filter on the ECUA90/120 & 150. On the ECUA & ECUDA180/240/300 models, double doors provide easy access to the condenser and evaporator compartments.
  • A refrigerant sight glass to indicate correct refrigerant charge and, if ever required, facilitates field charging of the unit.
  • Internal motor overloads on the evaporator and condenser motors and the compressor.
  • LEDs to show operational status.
  • Hot Gas Bypass for low temperature conditions
  • A Thermal Expansion Valve to improve efficiency and capacity at very low and high ambient temperatures
